Although I already knew "Order of the Pheonix" was 870 pages, it still didn't take away the shock at the size of the book when I got it at 12:15am this morning at Borders. I'll be a little less frequent with updates as I'm reading this latest volume and trying to get things done for work quickly (but not too quickly).

Thanks again to Dan and Mollie who were there really early and impersonated me so I could get a sub-100 pickup ticket. Considering that at 12:00am, they had already handed out ticket 1270, and that's just for one store (B&N and Hastings were doing the same I imagine) in one little college town in Oklahoma. The sales numbers for this thing are just.... well, JKR is going to be one (even more) filthy rich woman. And from reading the first third of it so far, it's well deserved.
