When the other shoe falls...

Ug, current job is a living hell right now. Stupid documentation of a system that my predecessor didn't even write, and I'm supposed to be an expert in it. It's a mish-mash of perl, c, shell, java and fortran and it's the most delicate and non-robust POS.

I hadn't been working on it, but my boss wanted it done months ago. After I told him that I was leaving he's had me do nothing else until it was finished, treating me like I was 8 the whole way. Not to say I wasn't wrong for doing it, but he's been quite demeaning at times. Completely blue-collar crap that I'm glad to leave behind next week.

Meanwhile, new job will start promptly after old one on the 7th of July. Again, cautious optimisim, but more optimistic than cautious :-).
