So I thought I'd go back to San Jose and join the classmates and instructor that were at the pub watching the Red Sox/Yankees game. So I started to get lost getting there going by the directions that I had, so I called up the instructor and he said that the place they had chosen (which was picked from the internet) had closed down. So they went to... downtown Sunnyvale. I was annoyed since I just came from there.. so my original plan was to go to Mountain View and go to St. Stephen's Green. I thought I'd just go home, but as I was heading back, I decided to take Central Expressway, and thought "why not" and took Central Expy to Castro st. in Mountain View. Found free parking (yay!) and went to St. Stephen's Green.
This is the place that has Strongbow cider on tap. OMG. So good!!. The pub itself is dark, warm and inviting. Not wanting to go overboard I thought I'd walk around a bit then go home. On the way home, guess what, I think I should join my classmates. I call up the instructor and get the directions to the pub they're at in downtown Sunnyvale. After getting lost due to a wrong direction given to me (go North when it should have been South on Mathilda) and finding the right way, I end up there and had beers and more food with my instructor, James, another instructor named Dave Maxwell (Ryan Bond had taken his Sun Cluster course last year), and two classmates from Panama. Good times!
I got a full 7 hours of sleep, but I'm still tired :-/. Class is dragging, going over concepts still and volume management, stuff I've tested over doing the Veritas Data Protection cert earlier this year, so I guess that's why I'm updating my journal :-P. Toninght we're watching Game 7 at a local place, I don't think I have anything else I really want to do except going to San Francisco... I'll do that on Friday when I get out early, I don't have to fly back until Saturday anyways.
